Overtime Pay Calculator

Calculate your total pay for a week that includes overtime hours.

How overtime pay is calculated

Hours up to the threshold are paid at your regular rate. Hours above it are paid at your rate × the overtime multiplier (1.5×, i.e. "time and a half," is the standard rate under US federal law for non-exempt employees working over 40 hours/week, but check your state and employer rules since some differ).

Example: $22.00/hour, 46 hours worked, 40-hour threshold, 1.5× multiplier → 40 regular hours ($880.00) + 6 overtime hours ($198.00) = $1,078.00 total.
